Subj: Making some low effort extra cash with Reddit Affiliate Marketing

Note: Spamming affiliate links will NOT make you tens of thousands a month. This is more of a $1-2k a month thing.

If you want to build a real business that pulls in $10k+ a month, take a look at The Art of Twitter, The Complete Web Design Course ™, or 6 Figure Promotions (whichever interests you most).

How the Reddit Affiliate Link Spam Hustle Works

It’s very simple.

  1. Sign up to a bunch of software affiliate programs.
  2. Go on Reddit.
  3. Find posts like “best software for xyz”, “xyz software review”, “xyz software vs abc software”.
  4. Leave comments under it with your affiliate link.
  5. Buy upvotes for your comment (Use UpvoteCaster or similar services)
  6. The upvotes mean you rank towards the top.
  7. You get paid each time someone clicks your link and buys.

Note: Many big subreddits don’t allow affiliate links. You might have to leave a non-affiliate link at first and then show up 6-7 months later and edit it to an affiliate link. Or use a link shortening/redirection service so you can change the link later without having to edit the comment.

Examples of Affiliate Link Spam in Action

1. Hijacking a Top Comment

The link in the post is an affiliate link. Notice that it has more upvotes than the original comment despite being posted 2 months after.

He just commented on the top post after seeing that it was ranking on Google, and then bought upvotes to make sure he shows up at the top.

2. Making your own top comment

The text of the link says “www.a2hosting.com” and “www.dreamhost.com” but the actual link is different.

You can see the real link in the bottom left corner of the screenshot – they are affiliate links masked as regular links.

3. Creating Your Own Post and Making it Rank

Here this guy made a Reddit post with a bunch of his own affiliate links. Bought some upvotes and he’s at the top.

Every link on his post is an affiliate link. He’s using a redirect to hide the affiliate parameters.

This stuff is so simple that it can’t get any easier than this.

Some Notes

1. You need a Reddit account with decent amounts of Karma otherwise you will get flagged as spam and shadowbanned. The super simple way to solve this problem is to just buy Reddit accounts with lots of karma. There are lots of sites where you can buy aged Reddit accounts perfect for your needs.

Note: PlayerUp was popular back in the day but is now a scam site. Don’t use it. Try EpicNPC – much more trustworthy I’ve heard (haven’t used it).

2. Use a redirection service. Sometimes companies will change their affiliate fee or something better shows up that’s more profitable to promote.

Some affiliate programs are outright scams. It happens to the best of us. I myself got scammed $10k+ by scammers named Samy Dindane and Yannick Veys.

If you have to change a link, a redirection service is extremely convenient.

3. Don’t have super high expectations. This is a quick hustle to make a few extra hundreds a month. At most you’ll make in the low thousands.

I haven’t done this in years because it only pays like $3k a month max. Back when I was just a teenager, this was a LOT of money to me.

What’s surprising is that over a decade, my old affiliate link spam still makes me some bucks here and there. So this method works.

Commissions for March 2024 for a software I was selling back in the day. Not bad for something you did 12 years ago. An extra $100-200 a month for 0 effort adds up over the years.

4. I don’t actually recommend this hustle because there are better businesses out there.

I came up with this stuff back when I was a kid. This is more than 10 years ago.

I was literally an 17 year old back then working for a $150/month salary. Back then adding $500 per month extra to my pocket was huge and life changing.

No shame in saying that – we all start somewhere. I became a millionaire at 23 and make much more money now so I’m doing pretty well.

This hustle will never make you tens of thousands a month. It’s a good way to get started and add an extra $500-2000/month to your pocket but if you want to make some real money, you need a better business.

As always, my recommendations are: X audience building, web design, and copywriting. Just pick anything and get started.

Hope this helps.
