Have the “Make Your Own Opportunities” Mindset

I travel a lot and many places I end up in are tourist towns. Not always but many times.

Every time I’m going to travel, I look up a few YouTube videos on that location to see what I can explore when I’m there.

99.99% of the time, the videos that tell you about the tourist location are not made by the locals of that area.

They are made by people who live far away who went to that place once or twice and are making money by giving away their research to other people.

Think about it. There are hundreds of thousands of people who live in every tourist city. Some places have millions of residents.

Many of them work normal jobs like restaurant waiters, cleaners, cooks, accountants, bank staff, teachers, managers, etc. and many interact with tourists regularly.

Why can’t they figure out that they too can make some money from the internet merely by making videos about the city they live in?

There are so many topics they can explore:

• Best restaurants in x city
• Best places to visit in x city
• Best hotels to stay at in x city
• Best locations to stay at in x city
• Tourist traps and scams to avoid in x location
• Things to do in x city in 5 days
• Things to do in x city for 2 days

The list is endless. You can make an entire business out of helping tourists plan their vacation to your city. Yet the only people who do it are people who aren’t from these places.

Why is this the case? Why are these people blind to an obvious opportunity that is right in front of them?

The answer is MINDSET. Mindset is just so important.

People continue living their ordinary lives working their ordinary jobs and don’t see all the hundreds of opportunities right in front of their faces because they aren’t actively looking for opportunities.

Many of them will keep saying they “want to start a business but don’t have ideas” and take zero action.

Years and years will go by and they will never have “an idea”.

If you give them a good idea on a platter, they would still take zero action and look for an excuse for why it will not work.

“There is too much competition”

“There are other people already doing it who are better than me”

“I don’t have the time. I will do it after [some future event i.e. never]”

“I don’t have the capital to start a business” (as if modern online businesses require a lot of capital)

Losers will find an excuse for why nothing will work. And guess what… their loser mindset is a large part of the reason why they are ordinary.

If you want to succeed, you need to make your own opportunities.

You can either:

• do the ordinary person thing, which is to get a job and then work hard for a promotion, lick the right person’s spit and consent to being spiritually sodomized by your employer for the duration of the rest of your working life just so you are paid enough to live “okayish I guess”
• be a bum who sleeps on the street and consent to getting physically sodomized by the highest bidder
• do something else

That “something else” is something that you have to figure out. And there are tons and tons of things that you can do that do not require either spiritual or physical sodomization.

You have to think about what you can do with the resources at your disposal that are valuable enough for someone else to pay you.

If you don’t have the skills, learn them.

You can learn enough coding to start building decent web apps in just a matter of months.

Or you can build an audience on any social media platform and monetize that (see The Art of X if you’re interested in this).

Or you can learn copywriting or web design and start selling your skills on the internet. You won’t make millions a year but you can make hundreds of thousands with them.

Or literally anything else.

Building a business in the modern world costs almost nothing.

An online business costs $1000 maximum including all the resources you need to learn the business which is almost nothing compared to the $250k minimum you’d need to invest in a physical shop that would generate similar profits.

There are just so many things you can do that aren’t difficult or capital intensive at all. They just require willingness and determination.

I have a friend who makes well over $10k a month publishing AI generated books and audiobooks on Amazon KDP (things like sudoku books, exam guides, coloring books for children, erotica books for women, etc.)

I know a chick who makes money selling crafty bottles she imports from China. A pure white labelled operation where her main contribution is running ads on Instagram and shipping the product to customers.

It’s so easy to get bulk manufactured Chinese products that even imbeciles on drugs can do it if they have a double digit IQ. Most people just never do it because they “don’t know how”, and they “don’t know how” because they’ve never bothered to spend 10 minutes to find out. Losers.

There are thousands of people who have made their first $1, $10, $100, $1000, $10000, $100000, and beyond with nothing but The Art of X (if you think I’m making it up, just read the reviews for yourself).

You can find a way to make money from the internet too. You just got to think hard about the opportunities you have in front of you and try them out one by one.

Remember it only takes 1 big success and you are set for life.

Create one or two automated income streams that pull in $40-50k a month and you are set for life.

But remember it all starts with your mindset. If you’re not looking for opportunities and not experimenting with business ideas, you will never have “an idea”.

If you are looking for things to do, you will have so many ideas that you will have trouble figuring out what to do first. Just ask any online entrepreneur how many unused domains he owns (if you’re a regular guy, you’ll be surprised by the answer).
