Continued from part 5.
18) Always be building and get things out fast
Throughout your 20s, you should always be building something or the other. At no point if someone asks “what are you up to these days?” should the answer be “Nothing, just chilling.”
You should be:
- Building your physique
- Building online businesses
- Building anything that interests you (for example, I wanted to learn about crypto so I built teachyourselfcrypto.com)
- Trying your hand at different ideas (like starting a YouTube account and making a video every day even if it’s non-commercial)
Always be building SOMETHING. If you didn’t build something on a particular day, you wasted that day.
Also it is not enough to just build things. You must build them and get them out to the public FAST. Get the MVP ready in a month or two (max) and release it to the world.
If you’re taking 6 months to build the first iteration of things, you are doing it wrong because how many 6 months do you have in your life?
Building fast means something like this:
- Morning: I have an idea to build a YouTube video
- Same day: Get camera/mic out and record the video.
- Same day: Post the video on YouTube.
- I have an idea to build a niche site.
- Same day: Buy domain and set up a theme on wordpress.
- Same day: Write the first 2-3 posts.
- Next day: Write up 2-3 more posts.
- Day after: Write up 2-3 more posts.
- Day after: Fix the design of the website to make it look more appealing.
- Final day: Add a few backlinks wherever you can
Do you see the difference between this and what most people do?
This is how most people operate:
- I have an idea to build a niche site.
- Same day: Did nothing. Wasted time scrolling on the internet.
- Next day: Same as before.
- One month later: I should do that niche site one of these days.
- Next day: Same story.
- One year later: I want to start an online business someday. I’ll do it after [some task like a work deadline] is completed.
- 5 years later: I was so busy in my 20s. There’s no way you can build an online business these days. I just didn’t have the time.
If you’re not building things, you are like most people. What have you built and released to the public in the last 2 months? If the answer is “nothing”, your future is less bright than you think.
I have 6 month old, multiple online businesses, I hit the gym regularly, play sports, and even then I have the time to do things like write this hobby blog.
So far this year, I’ve already released 15 YouTube videos and 15 blog posts.
And you’re telling me you don’t have time to build even a simple online business? Bullshit. You waste your time watching reels on Instagram.
If you aren’t building and releasing things (and fast), you are a loser. It’s that simple.
19) Avoid chasing approval (focus on winning)
You can waste your entire 20s chasing people’s approval and many men do (especially chasing female approval).
You have to understand that you have 1 life and that you are going to live it by yourself. What other people think of you has no impact on your life experience unless you are a politician.
There is no need to do things you do not want to do just because other people will approve of your actions if you do them.
There is also no need to not do things you want to do just because other people will not approve of your actions if you do them.
This means that:
- If you don’t want to drink, then don’t drink. It doesn’t matter if other people think that you are “boring”.
- If you don’t care about living in a big house, you can just live in a small house. There is no need to get into debt to impress others.
- If you don’t care about having a flashy car, just buy a cheap car.
- If you want to quit your job, move to Thailand and build a business with your savings, you can just do that.
- If you want to date multiple women at the same time instead of having a single woman at a time, do that.
Do not chase people’s approval. People’s approval is a false master.
The public is stupid and fickle. They will love you one day and hate you the next. Their only rule is “what have you done for me lately?” (people at scale behave like women).
Caring about other people’s opinions basically turns you into their servant. Instead of being their master, you are reduced to doing things based on what makes them happy or upset.
If you do not learn to stop giving a fuck about what other people think, you will waste many decades of your life simply to please others.
How many men get in debt for 30 years only because they wanted to buy a big house so he and his wife could impress their friends? That’s 30 years of life wasted just paying debt.
How much freer would they have been had they just lived in a place they could actually afford? Chasing people’s approval turned them into a debt slave.
20) Protect yourself from false rape accusations
Anybody can catch a false rape case. And by that I mean anybody. You will be punished immediately and your actual guilt or innocence will be determined much later.
A false accusation of rape can and often does:
- Send you to jail. Police will often arrest you immediately upon the filing of a complaint (Yes the laws are that strict in most countries). In most places it is not that easy to get bail, and even if you do get bail, you will spend at least a few weeks in jail.
- Ruin your reputation. You will lose 70-80% of your friends and contacts the moment the rape accusation becomes public news. Many people who you think are your close friends will ghost you. Most people who are not your close friends will denounce you (“I barely know him”, “He is not associated with me”, etc.).
- Get you fired from your job. Even though it shouldn’t happen, this is how things usually play out because companies do not want bad publicity. The moment you become the hot potato with the ongoing rape case, they want to wash their hands of the matter, and the easiest way they do it is by firing you.
- Make you unemployable. You don’t just get fired, but as any victim of a false rape accusation knows, it becomes impossibly hard to find a job. Especially if your name gets published by the media.
- Restrict your freedom. Police and court orders will often prevent you from travelling abroad if you have an ongoing rape case. In many places, if you leave the city, you will be required to inform the police prior to doing so. If you do get permission to travel abroad, many countries run background checks and will not issue you a visa because they think you might be a violent criminal.
However there are many protective measures that you can take to save yourself from the trouble.
Like having a camera on your door that shows the woman entering and leaving willingly and unharmed. Like sending the girl a pleasant text message in the morning.
I cover this in very great detail in my book How to Avoid a False Rape Accusation so I will not repeat every detail here.
Yes, if you’re in your 20s, you absolutely MUST read this book, and no, this is not a sales pitch (the few bucks I’ll get from your purchase of my book are going to make zero difference to my net worth).
I’ve just seen many people get ruined by false accusations and unlike most people who just complain about the problem, I wrote a helpful book based on my own legal experience (I own a tax/law firm) to help men.
(Meta: See #18 – build things and get them out fast. There are so many lawyers and professionals who could have written a book on this topic. How many did? Only me.)
That’s all for this piece.
This article will be continued in part 7.
