Subj: How to convince yourself of something
Alright boys – I used to be very dubious about the whole affirmations stuff until I tried it. It works well, so I’m giving the trick to you.
Take a piece of paper and write down whatever you want to believe on it.
Stick the paper to your mirror.
Look yourself in the eyes and recite everything you’ve written on it every day in the morning and before you sleep.
It works.
I used this method to brainwash myself to like many things I previously hated.
Back when I started lifting: “I love working out. I can’t wait to go and work out.”
When I was trying to cut a lot of fat: “I love being hungry. It makes me more productive and sharp.”
When I was slogging though my CA days: “I love studying. I can’t wait to study 8 hours today and tomorrow.”
Today I love training legs, and I love the feeling of hunger.
I train legs twice a week, and when I eat too much I feel sleepy as hell – so I always eat a bit less.
You can use this method to train yourself to like, dislike, or think anything.
For example, you can say “I hate sugary foods. They make me sluggish. I hate being fat and can’t wait for my abs to show.” or “I love being a go-getter. I try out a new business idea every month. I can’t wait to spend 2 hours today working on something new.”
Anything you want to be – Write it, repeat it twice every day, practice it every day, and you will become it sooner than you think.
