Subj: An easy way to be well liked without being a suck up
Most men have a weird scarcity mindset with regards to compliments. They think by complimenting another man, they somehow become inferior to them.
This is why most people are stingy when it comes to complimenting others.
Most men never get any compliments. The average man gets far fewer compliments than the average woman.
A super simple thing you can do to be well liked and respected without seeming like you’re kissing ass is to compliment people behind their backs.
The word gets around and a good percent of the time, the person you complimented will hear your compliment though other people.
“Hey, Harsh said he thinks you’re very intelligent.”
“Harsh said you did a lot of good work on that project.”
“Harsh thinks you have good fashion sense.”
Word gets around.
Especially in closed environments like corporate offices where people love gossip.
When someone hears that you like them – they are forced to like you. It is very difficult to dislike someone who likes you.
They will hold you in higher regard and think more positively of you.
Most people insult others behind their backs. Do the opposite. Compliment them behind their backs.
This is the easiest way to be well liked and earn people’s goodwill that takes zero effort or money on your part.

P.S. The compliments need to be genuine or it’ll seem like you’re a faker. Avoid compliments based on looks – they are more common/less valuable and you don’t want people to think that you’re into that person.
